The eagerly anticipated TV anime adaptation of Koume Fujichika's manga "The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses" is set to premiere in July, as revealed on the anime's official website. The series is directed by Susumu Kudo under the supervision of Katsumasa Yokomine. Masahiro Itou and Shion Wakayama star in the lead roles as Kaede Komura and Ai Mie, respectively. The cast for the series has also been announced.

The manga follows Komura, who falls for his new classmate, the forgetful bespectacled Mie. His crush on the quirky schoolmate puts his heart to the test. The manga was serialized in Square Enix's Gangan Joker magazine in November 2018 and was licensed for English digital release by Comikey.

The series' chief animation directors are Keiji Tani, Makoto Furuta, and Takayuki Uchida, with Shingo Suzuki as concept artist and Takayuki Uchida as character designer. Hiroshi Okubo serves as the lead animator, Tamazō Yanagi writes the scripts, and Hisashi Muramatsu is the sound director from Glovision.
