'The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses' Anime Reveals New Promo Video, Key Visual And Opening Song Artist

The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Koume Fujichika's manga "The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses" has released a second promotional video, a second key visual, and the artist for the opening theme song. Tsuzuri, a 16-year-old singer, will make her debut with the opening song "NAME," composed and arranged by Shota Horie with lyrics by DECO*27.



The anime, set to premiere in July, features Masahiro Itou as Kaede Komura and Shion Wakayama as Ai Mie. Susumu Kudo serves as the chief director, while Katsumasa Yokomine directs at GoHands. Tamazo Yanagi is in charge of scriptwriting, with Shingo Suzuki as concept artist and Takayuki Uchida as character designer. Additional staff includes Hiroshi Okubo as lead animator and a team of chief animators: Keiji Tani, Makoto Furuta, and Takayuki Uchida. Hisashi Muramatsu is the sound director at Glovision, and Jimmy Thumb P composes the music at Flying Dog.

The manga, published by Square Enix Manga & Books, follows Komura as he starts the school year with a new seatmate, the quirky and bespectacled Mie. Komura soon develops a crush on Mie, leading to a heartwarming and amusing story about getting to know each other despite the everyday challenges of young love.
