The team behind the anime "The Irregular at Magic High School" announced during a reveal that a new TV anime series will follow the franchise. The broadcast of this sequel is planned for next year, and the original character designer Kana Ishida is responsible for creating the teaser visual.

The upcoming series will feature the familiar voices of Saori Hayami as Miyuki Shiba, Yūichi Nakamura as Tatsuya Shiba, and Kiyono Yasuno as Minami Sakurai. A familiar face behind the scenes, Jimmy Stone, an animation director and episode director from previous projects within the franchise, will serve as the director of the new series. Studio 8-Bit, which has previously worked on the series, will once again lend its expertise to this project, and Taku Iwasaki will return to compose the music for the series.
