"The Kamen Rider Animated": New Animation Film Label for the 55th Anniversary

On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of "Kamen Rider," Toei has announced a new label for animated films. The label is named "THE KAMENRIDER ANIMATED" and is primarily aimed at anime fans worldwide, while the productions are also intended to be accessible to viewers unfamiliar with the brand. The first project of the label is being created as a collaboration between Aniplex and Studio Shirogumi. As announced at a press event on April 3, 2026, it is a completely independent original story that aims to combine graphic CG animation with a manga-like look, rather than relying on a purely 3D visual style. The goal is a worldwide distribution of the film.
