The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Hitsuji Yamada's manga "The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today" (Dekiru Neko wa Kyō mo Yūutsu) has released a promotional video and announced July 7 as the premiere date. The anime will air on MBS and TBS's "Animeism" programming block. Along with the premiere date, an expanded cast list was also revealed.

The newly announced cast members for the anime include Ai Kakuma as Yuri Shibasaki, Katsuyuki Konishi as Kaoru Orizuka, M.A.O as Rio Nishina, Miyu Irino as Tenchō (Shop Manager), and several others. They join Hiroki Yasumoto, who voices the cat Yukichi, and Yui Ishikawa, who plays office worker Saku Fukuzawa.
The anime adaptation is directed by Susumu Kudo, with Katsumasa Yokomine serving as chief director. Studio GoHands is handling the series composition, written by Tamazo Yanagi. Takayuki Uchida is in charge of character design.
"The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today" tells the story of Saku, who takes in a stray black cat named Yukichi. However, Yukichi is no ordinary cat.
