The TV anime adaptation of "The Misfortunate Job [Appraiser] Turned Out to Be the Strongest," based on the novel by Ibarakino, will air in January 2025. Alongside the broadcast date, details about the cast and a teaser have been released.

The story follows Ain, who receives the seemingly useless job of an "Appraiser," which only allows him to identify the properties of items. Ain's life is marked by frustration and self-doubt. This changes when he meets Yuri, the spirit of the World Tree, and Ursula, a wise woman and guardian of Yuri. With their help, Ain embarks on a journey that transforms him from the weakest to the strongest.

Kikunosuke Toya lends his voice to the protagonist Ain, Hikaru Tono plays Yuri, Sayumi Suzushiro is Ursula, and Yū Serizawa voices Yuri's younger sister Pina.
