The episode begins with the protagonist, Pride Royal Ivy, waking up as an 8-year-old princess in the kingdom of Freesia. She remembers her previous life as an 18-year-old obsessed with the otome game "Our Ray of Light" and realizes she has reincarnated into the game as Pride, the villainous character who causes the kingdom's downfall.

Pride's father, the prince consort, and her mother, Queen Rosa Royal Ivy, are introduced. Pride also learns about her younger sister, Tiara Royal Ivy, who is the main character of the game. To her surprise, Pride discovers she possesses the ability of precognition, which is considered a divine revelation of the next monarch in the kingdom of Freesia.

Pride's life takes a turn when she uses her knowledge from her previous life to prevent her father's fatal carriage accident, which was supposed to happen according to the game's plot. Through this event, she realizes she might be able to change the game's story.

Pride then meets Stale Royal Ivy, a commoner child with the special ability of teleportation. Stale is introduced as Pride's younger brother-in-law and future prince regent. Despite his initial attempts to escape, Stale is forced to remain in the castle because his mother faces punishment otherwise.

Feeling guilty about Stale's situation, Pride offers him the keys to his shackles so he can flee. However, Stale refuses to run away, fearing his friends with special abilities might be kidnapped in his place. He also reveals he has already said goodbye to his mother and is ready to serve Pride in the castle.

The episode ends with Pride promising Stale that she will never harm him and will strive to make everyone in the kingdom happy. She also asks Stale to kill her if she ever becomes a despicable queen. Despite this heavy request, Stale promises to protect Pride, marking the beginning of their unique relationship.
