The episode begins with a crisis in a cave where an explosion has occurred. It turns out that two of the rescued children, Kemet and Sefec, jumped into this cave. Val and Arthur are also present and try to figure out how to save Kemet, who is trapped under rubble. The situation is catastrophic, as the cave threatens to collapse.

Val, who has a loyalty contract with Princess Pride, initially refuses to help due to his criminal past. However, Princess Pride orders him to use his special ability "Earth Wall" to control everything in the cave. With the help of Kemet's inexplicable special ability, which seems to amplify other abilities, Val manages to stabilize the cave and rescue Kemet.

The episode then shifts to a flashback revealing Val's past. He was abandoned by his mother at the age of seven and lived a life of hardship. Eventually, he took Kemet and Sefec under his wing and treated them as family, even though he initially referred to them as "baggage." Val's life takes a dark turn when he is forced into a feudal contract and becomes involved in human trafficking to survive. The flashback shows how Val's relationship with Kemet and Sefec develops, leading him to see them as something valuable in his life.

Back in the present, Val, Kemet, and Sefec are safely rescued. The episode ends with Val acknowledging that, despite his criminal past and struggles, he has found something worth living for—his makeshift family with Kemet and Sefec.
