The New Gate - Episode 3

In this episode, Shin decides to conceal his encounter with the Elemental Tail from the guild and instead forms a secret pact with the creature—a process known as Taming—to hide its level and species and keep them together. He names the creature Yuzuha after it responds favorably to the name. Meanwhile, Shin receives a message from Tiera that she has reached out to her master and is awaiting a response.

At the guild, Shin reports an encounter with several Death Faces and discovers a job posting for a "Skill Successor" at an orphanage, prompting him to investigate further.

At the orphanage, Shin meets Millie, a bee girl, and Tria, a nun, who asks for his help in teaching the "Purify" skill. Shin agrees and, in return, requests information about the church and Millie's abilities. Millie holds the title of "Star Composer" and possesses prophetic abilities, which make her both valuable and vulnerable to exploitation due to their accuracy. The episode also highlights the crisis facing the orphanage, which is threatened by a new priest who seeks to take over and potentially shut it down.

Together with Wilhelm, an adventurer introduced in the previous episode and a guardian of the orphanage, Shin and Lacia venture into the spirit realms, where they encounter high-level undead that allow Lacia to gain experience and learn the skill.

The episode culminates in a separate battle against high-level monsters, where Schnee comes to the aid of Rionne and a group of knights, takes command, and single-handedly defeats the terrifying foe.
