The official website for the television anime adaptation of Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu's The Promised Neverland manga has revealed that the anime's second season will premiere in October 2020.
Shirai and Demizu launched The Promised Neverland manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in August 2016, and the series entered its final arc in September 2018. Shirai stated in an August 2018 interview that he did not want to "stretch out the story too much" in agreement with the editor, and added that the manga's length would "ideally be 20 to 30 volumes."
