A new key visual and the second promotional video for the TV anime "The Rise of the Shield Hero" Season 2 have been released. MADKID will perform the opening theme "Bring Back," and Chiai Fujikawa will perform the ending theme "Yuzurenai." Additionally, Kana Hanazawa will voice the new character Ost Horai.



In the first season, the protagonist Iwatani Naofumi was summoned to another world as one of the "Four Holy Heroes," the Shield Hero. Although he faces persecution due to false accusations, he works together with his friends to save the world from the evil that threatens it. The second season takes place in the land of Reigame, east of Merlomark. Shobun is tasked with defeating the demon Reigame, which brings an unprecedented catastrophe, and he sets off with Raftaria, Firo, and his new companion Licia.

The anime series "The Rising of The Shield Hero" premiered with a two-hour special in January 2019 and ran for 25 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
