The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 is set to premiere in October 2023

The team behind the anime TV series The Rising of the Shield Hero has released a new teaser trailer and a first key visual for the highly anticipated third season of the series. The upcoming season, scheduled to premiere in October 2023, promises to continue the gripping story of Naofumi Iwatani and his journey as the Shield Hero.





Hitoshi Haga, who was responsible for the storyboard of five episodes and the direction of four episodes in the first season, will take over as the new director for the third season. He follows in the footsteps of previous directors Takao Abo (first season) and Masato Jinbo (second season). Keigo Koyanagi will continue to write and oversee the scripts for the series, Kevin Penkin will once again compose the music, and Kinema Citrus will handle the animation production.

Franziska van Wulfen and Sana Komatsu, together with Masahiro Suwa, will design the characters, while Kōta Sera, the chief animation director of the previous seasons, will now be responsible for contributing to the designs.

With the return of familiar faces behind the scenes and the introduction of new talent, the series is ready to continue its captivating tale of heroism, betrayal, and redemption.
