In Episode 10 of "The Witch and the Beast," Ashaf leads Helga to the corridors of the Order of Magical Resonance. For secrecy reasons, Guideau is not allowed to enter the corridors after refusing to form a magical pact. Left behind in a quiet rural town, his companions believe his injuries will prevent him from causing trouble.

Unexpectedly, Guideau gets involved in a local uproar after children claim to have seen a witch. This leads them to the house of an old woman, which they initially suspect to be a witch's dwelling. Upon entering the house, Guideau is attacked by the woman's pets but quickly recovers thanks to her healing skills, realizing she is merely an herbalist.

Meanwhile, Ashaf receives a black letter hinting at a witch nearby, prompting him to leave Helga and investigate. A mysterious figure dressed as an "Executioner," capable of manipulating dimensions, captures the local children and confronts Guideau about searching for his brother and a forbidden instrument.

The plot intensifies as Angela, the witch responsible for Guideau's curse, appears nearby. Angela, wearing a cloak resembling the Executioner's but crafted by herself, expresses a desire to acquire his instrument. Despite his supposed physical limitations, Guideau confronts Angela but is thwarted by a magical barrier.

The episode ends with Guideau found unconscious next to the dead "Executioner." Ashaf explains to Helga that Angela is an ancient witch, underscoring her significance and power.
