The anime adaptation of the light novel series "The World's Strongest Witch" by Mochimaru Sakaki has received an official start date. As announced by the production team via the official X account, the series will air in Japan starting October 7, 2026, on Tokyo MX, BS11, and TVA. Alongside this, a new trailer has been released, offering further insights into the story and characters.

The story revolves around Lorna Hermit, a member of a noble family who manifests a supposedly useless SSS-rank ability called "Internet." As a result, she is cast out by her family and left penniless. However, she soon discovers that her skill is far more powerful than expected: with access to information from another world, she can effortlessly find rare treasures, obtain powerful equipment, and take her fate into her own hands—even if modern terms like "lmfao" initially remain a mystery to her.

The series is being directed by Jouji Furuta ("Visual Prison," "ēlDLIVE") at studios Bridge and Aisle. The script is written by Shouji Yonemura ("Bad Girl," "Pokémon Journeys: The Series"), while Yuuki Morimoto ("Bad Girl") is responsible for character design. The Japanese voice cast includes Azusa Tachibana as Lorna Hermit, Fairouz Ai as Elmina Manafire, and Honoka Inoue as Eruna, an elf princess.

The original light novel series has been published as a web novel on the platforms Shōsetsuka ni Narō and Kakuyomu since May 2022 and has been available in print form since December 2022 under the SQEX Novel imprint by Square Enix, illustrated by riritto. Five volumes have been released as of May 2025. An English-language translation is distributed by Yen Press. A manga adaptation by Tamaki Toga began in May 2023 in Kodansha's "Monthly Magazine Base" and now comprises twelve volumes.

Further details about the plot and international distribution of the anime series are expected in the coming weeks.
