The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic - Episode 1

In the first episode of "The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic," Usato Ken is introduced as an average high school student who considers himself ordinary. At the beginning, he is intimidated by Inukami Suzune and Ryuusen Kazuki, the student council president and vice president. However, an encounter on a rainy evening changes his perception: he sees them as kind and down-to-earth. Suzune and Kazuki, who contrary to rumors are not in a romantic relationship, offer to walk Ken home.

As they talk, a magic circle appears, transporting them to a throne room in another world. King Lloyd of Llander informs them that they have been summoned as heroes to fight against the armies of the Demon Lord. Suzune is thrilled, while Ken is cautious and Kazuki is upset, fearing separation from his family. The king apologizes for the sudden summoning and asks for their help, promising to return them to their world as soon as possible.

Ken, who was not originally meant to be summoned, is also tested for his magical affinity. Suzune leans toward lightning magic, and Kazuki toward light magic. When Ken's evaluation turns the crystal orb green, indicating healing magic—a rare ability in this world—the royal mage Welcie is shocked and rushes him to the king. Ken's magical abilities are kept secret, but he accidentally reveals them and is taken away by Captain Rose of the Rescue Team.

Ken is brought to the Rescue Team headquarters, where he is to be trained in healing magic. The team members, who lack healing abilities themselves, are a diverse bunch, more resembling a wrestling squad. Captain Rose is determined to train Ken and give him the role he longed for in his home world, even if the journey promises to be a challenging one.
