For the anime adaptation of the light novel series "Zutaboro Reijou wa Ane no Moto Konyakusha ni Dekiai sareru" (English: The Tattered Lady: Doted on by Her Sister's Former Fiancé), another key visual has been revealed. This image, already the third in this series, accompanies the broadcast of the eighth episode of the production, in which the plot takes a new turn.
Shown are the protagonist Marie with a worried facial expression as well as Cyrus, who protectively places his hand on her shoulder and thereby seems to support her. Above them stands the slogan "Ana no tamashii o otte –" (approximately: "In search of Anastasia's soul").
In parallel, the design of a special booklet available in anime commerce was announced. This brochure in the style of a "Zutaboro Akaneko Monogatari" (approximately: "Story of the tattered red cat") contains a short story specially written by the original author Tobira-no. The plot of the series revolves around Marie, the second daughter of an impoverished baron family, who is treated like a maid by her parents and leads a life of deprivation. Due to a misunderstanding, the wealthy Count Cyrus initially becomes engaged to her older sister Anastasia. However, after she dies in an accident, Marie is to marry the Count in her place.
The animated adaptation is being directed by Takayuki Kitagawa at Studio Lay-duce. The responsible scriptwriter is Kenta Ihara.
