The newly released key visual for the third season of To Your Eternity shows a heartwarming scene at the dining table in the Aoki family home – the central setting of the new story arc Journey in the Present. At the center sits Fushi, facing the smiling student Mizuha, a key figure from the modern era. Surrounding them are not only familiar companions from previous seasons like March, Gugu, Bon, and the Three Immortal Warriors, but also several new characters. This lineup directly reflects the wish of mangaka Yoshitoki Ōima, who wanted to include all characters due to her loving connection to each one of them.

For the Present Era, five new voice roles have been announced:

Aya Uchida voices Hanna, the creative leader of the art club and Mizuha's classmate. Uchida is excited to act as Hanna in Fushi's peaceful world. Fukushi Ochiai plays Tamaki, the athletic powerhouse of the occult club, and highlights his likable side. Chiharu Sawashiro voices Senba, the club's computer expert, and hopes the series will reach an international audience. Aoi Koga plays Aiko, a responsible sixth-grader and Yuki's younger sister, praising the authentic portrayal of school life. Shōto Kashii takes on the role of Kazumitsu, the grandfather of Yuki and Aiko, drawing parallels to social integration in modern Japan. Except for Kashii, all mentioned voice actors previously played different roles in earlier seasons.

The story begins roughly a hundred years after the end of the second season: After defeating the Knockers, Fushi has created a seemingly ideal, modern world. Yet new threats emerge, particularly from enemies who exploit human weaknesses and the still-unclear intentions of the mysterious observer. Alongside fantasy elements, the series now increasingly addresses socially critical themes like migration, generational conflicts, and societal integration – aspects particularly highlighted through Kazumitsu's character.

The direction is handled for the first time by Sōta Yokote, supported by chief director Shōko Sayama. Animation continues to be produced by studios Drive and Massket. The third season is set to premiere in October 2025 on NHK General TV. The original manga concluded in June 2025, with the final 25th volume releasing on August 12, 2025.
