Already well in advance, a new anime title is announced for 2017. The anime adaptation of the visual novel "Dies irae" by developer Light is set to premiere on Japanese television in summer 2017 or later, after the company ran a successful crowdfunding campaign from May to July and instead of the planned 30 million yen, raised three times that amount with 96,560,858 yen from 5,188 supporters.

At least 14 episodes are planned, though the number of episodes may still increase before the actual launch. The series is being produced by Studio GENCO, with Takashi Masada, who wrote the original game scenarios for the visual novel, overseeing the scripts.
