The Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announces three new series in a row for April. As reported in the current 18th issue of the magazine, works by Hideaki Sorachi ("Gintama"), Atsushi Nakamura ("Agravity Boys"), and Masayoshi Satoshō ("Momiji no Kisetsu") will launch in the coming weeks.
The kickoff will be on April 6th with issue 19, featuring "Roku no Okashina Ie" (roughly: "Roku's Strange House") by Atsushi Nakamura. This is a horror house comedy about five boys who are simultaneously plagued by a curse.
The following week, on April 13th, issue 20 will launch Masayoshi Satoshō's "Natsu to Hotarukago" ("Summer and the Firefly Cage").
Concluding the three-week publication offensive will be issue 21 on April 20th, featuring "2-nen B-gumi Yūsha Destroyers" ("Class 2B: Hero Destroyers") by Hideaki Sorachi. This is Sorachi's first new series since the end of "Gintama" in 2019 and his first new work in about seven years. The story revolves around a demon king who is driven from his castle by a hero.
Color illustrations for all three titles have already been released. Meanwhile, Sorachi's debut manga "Dandelion" will be released as an anime adaptation on Netflix on April 16th.
