The 14-year-old Liu Yuwei, known as Queen, finishes her studies at HAC University early as the top graduate. In her graduation speech, she rejects the label "youngest genius" and announces her goal to reach the highest hero rank X within two years. Her stated motive is to overthrow the existing "Trust Value" system and create a new, orderly world. This speech, which became known as the "Queen Speech," triggers a nationwide media wave and establishes Queen as the "Hero Queen." She inspires numerous women to become heroes themselves and helps her management company DOS achieve a positive image shift.

This movement favors the rise of the established DOS heroine Bowa. She uses the momentum and wins the 16th HAC Hero Ranking Tournament, becoming the second X heroine in history. DOS boss Micky sees Queen and Bowa as the guarantors of DOS's superiority over rival MG. He hints at a possible rivalry between the two for the X title, leading to a tense confrontation between Bowa and Queen in the Hero Tower. Queen emphasizes that she wants to earn the title, not receive it as a gift. Bowa counters that pretty words alone don’t make a hero and declares she will challenge Queen in the next ranking battles.

At the same time, Queen meets the hero Little Johnny (Rank 15) and his unusual "son" Big Johnny, for whom she develops an immediate, inexplicable affection. Simultaneously, upheavals occur in the hero industry: MG executive Shand steps down and founds the "Treeman Corporation" to promote new heroes. FOMO co-founder Rock leaves his company and instead takes over the leadership of MG, which introduces the radical new hero "Dragon Boy."

At the 18th HAC Ranking Tournament, Queen enters as the favorite. Contrary to all expectations, however, she suffers a surprising defeat against a completely unknown "Dark Horse," who leaves no traces in the information systems and is immediately named the new X. Bowa’s anticipated fight against Queen does not take place. Queen must come to terms with her first major defeat. Micky and Liu Zhen are alarmed by the identity of the mysterious new X and find no information. Media and comedians comment on the surprising defeat. In a final scene, Bowa apparently receives information hinting at a personal connection: "So... she is your daughter!"
