After the Rank-1 hero Vortex was defeated by the monster "Big Johnny," it is instead appeased by the boy Little Johnny. The media coverage makes Little Johnny and his deceased father, the hero Sheng, the center of public attention.

Little Johnny confronts the injured Vortex in the hospital and accuses him of having something to do with his father's death. Vortex denies the accusations. Little Johnny announces that he will force an answer out of Vortex at the upcoming ranking tournament.

In a flashback, it is shown how Little Johnny and his partner Big Johnny are regarded by their manager Liu as low-ranking, marketing-oriented heroes, which awakens Little Johnny's frustration about his meaningless job. His original wish to become a hero died with his father in a plane crash.

Little Johnny finally receives an important mission: He and the mysterious Ghostblade are to protect Professor Luo Tong and her team on a secret escort mission. Luo Tong has discovered a material that can completely suppress the energy "Fear" and originates from a crashed alien ship.

During the mission, a misunderstanding occurs in which Ghostblade is accused of harassing Wang Nuonuo. Little Johnny tries to de-escalate the situation and mistakenly reinterprets Ghostblade's actions as a sign of his affection for Nuonuo.

In parallel, conversations between Micky and a commission official reveal that Sheng once investigated the same alien crash site and never shared his findings. Micky deliberately fuels conflicts to profit from the situation.

The episode ends with Big Johnny running away and leading Little Johnny to the ruins of their old home, where he discovers traces that lead him to the shocking realization that his father might still be alive.
