After Moon's unexpected "resurrection," Nice (Lin Ling) plunges into a crisis of trust, as the public perceives his deception exposed. God Eye (formerly Enlighter), now an antagonist backed by the Spotlight Organization, takes Moon hostage to force Nice into confrontation. Miss J and Mr. Shand attempt to maintain control by deploying the memory-erasing hero Blankster to stop God Eye's revelations. However, Lin Ling, driven by guilt and concern for Moon, breaks free from the agency's control and publicly reveals his true identity: he is not Nice, but Lin Ling, a former marketing employee who only served as a substitute.

In an emotional confession, Lin Ling admits that the real Nice is dead and confronts God Eye without heroic powers. Despite initial defeats, he unexpectedly gains public support through his selfless act ("I must save Moon, even if I'm not a hero"). His trust score rises again as viewers acknowledge his sincerity. In a final battle, Lin Ling defeats God Eye, who is exposed as a hypocrite—he used a Moon decoy to provoke Lin Ling.

After God Eye's arrest, Lin Ling remains in the Top 10 as a "titleless hero," while the Spotlight Organization continues to lurk as a background threat. Moon, who had retreated to a remote island, is found by Lin Ling, who restores her freedom. The episode ends with a bittersweet moment: Moon, though freed, is stranded, and Lin Ling, now accepted as a "true" hero. Their heartfelt reunion is abruptly interrupted when a flash bullet pierces Moon's head, killing her instantly. The attacker resembles E-Soul, the 9th-ranked hero, who then vanishes into a portal. This mirrors Lin Ling's nightmare from Episode 1, where he first saw Moon's bloody corpse.
