After a plane crash in a residential area, journalist Liu Zhen begins to investigate and uncovers unresolved circumstances: The Heroes Commission is concealing details, and survivors are not publicly mentioned. Liu Zhen takes an orphaned girl named Cyan to an orphanage run by her old friend Dean. Cyan possesses a mysterious luck ability that quickly attracts attention – children and adults use her to make decisions, elevating her to the "holy luck-bringer" of the orphanage.

In parallel, the ambitious Queen strives to reach the top of the hero rankings ("X") through reforms and establish a new world order. At the orphanage, Cyan meets Luo, a new boy with an opposing reputation: He is known as the "bad luck harbinger," as places where he lived were struck by disasters. Luo questions Cyan's role and challenges her to determine her own fate instead of serving as a tool for others.

When demand for Cyan's "blessings" spirals out of control – adults pressure her to make life decisions – Dean reveals his true intentions: He exploits Cyan's popularity to market the orphanage as a symbol of hope and manipulates her into continuing to act as a "holy icon." Luo helps Cyan resist exploitation, but their rebellion leads to tensions with the orphanage staff.

As Cyan and Luo flee, Dean reveals his obsession with controlling Cyan's "luck" at any cost.
