In this episode, we meet Daichi, a 38-year-old office worker who decides to play a VRMMO game called "One More Free Life Online." He creates a character named Earth and chooses a youthful appearance with black hair and eyes. Earth is designed as a solo player since Daichi can only play a few hours a day.

At the start of the game, Earth chooses from the following skills: archery, kicking, farsight, wind magic, crafting fingers, cooking, woodworking, medicine, and sneaking. He believes these skills will allow him to play at his own pace without drawing the attention of hardcore players.

Earth logs in for the first time and notices the game is populated by players. He is laughed at for choosing archery as a skill but remains unfazed. He heads to the training hall to practice his archery and wind magic skills. Despite initial difficulties, he manages to improve.

When he ventures into the field, he finds it too crowded for combat. Instead, he focuses on gathering herbs. Using his medicinal skills, he identifies various herbs and even brews simple healing potions. He also experiments with cooking and prepares a rabbit steak, which becomes very popular among players.

He crafts his own bow and armor, significantly enhancing his combat abilities. He goes hunting and collects various materials to further improve his skills. Upon returning to town, he finds himself in a crisis: the NPCs have run out of potions. Earth sells his self-brewed potions, gaining popularity and respect in the process.

Toward the end of the episode, Earth is challenged to a duel by a player trying to intimidate him. Earth wins the duel, solidifying his reputation. He receives an invitation to join a party from Two, a player he had met earlier.
