"Tohai - Ura Rate Mahjong Tohai Roku" with new cast and new pictures

The anime adaptation "Tohai - Ura Rate Mahjong Tohai Roku," originally created by Takashi Shinamasa, has announced important updates, including the addition of new voice actors, an updated key visual, and the release of the third promotional video.

Three new characters have been introduced to enrich the storyline. Haru Sekihide, voiced by Toshihiko Seki, is a versatile "jack-of-all-trades" who plays a crucial role in luring the protagonist Kei into the underground mahjong world. Yama Hata, played by Takehito Koyasu, is a laid-back yet highly talented university student known for his impressive mahjong skills. Ai, voiced by Yoko Hikasa, is a striking and emotionally distant female mahjong player.

The latest key visual features the main characters Kei, Amina, Dōjima, Takatsu, and Yū alongside the newly introduced Haru, Yama, and Ai. This artwork highlights the expanded cast and the complex relationships that drive the series.

The newly released promotional video introduces the new voice actors and previews the opening song "Gambling Hall" by Masayoshi Ōishi. The video offers a glimpse into the evolving dynamics between the characters and the high-stakes mahjong matches central to the plot.

The main cast includes Kōsuke Tanabe as Kei, Ai Fairouz as Amina, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Dōjima, Takeshi Koyama as Takatsu Noriyuki, and Chinatsu Akasaki as Yū Katsuragi.

"Tohai - Ura Rate Mahjong Tohai Roku" follows Kei, a high school mahjong prodigy known by the alias "Ice K." The series depicts his journey through the challenging and competitive underground mahjong arenas, where he faces seasoned opponents and hones his strategic skills.
