Attached is the press release:

TOKYOPOP Inc. is now collaborating with the Digital Rights Agency, the world's leading provider of digital music, to establish the new record label TOKYOPOP Music in the market. TOKYOPOP, known as the largest manga publisher outside of Japan, is thus expanding its multimedia orientation further.

The label TOKYOPOP Music will debut with three albums: TOKYOPOP presents Drift 2 Die, a mix of electronic and hip-hop from the manga series Initial D (produced by b_nCHANt_d and D.J. Milky); TOKYOPOP presents Anime Trax, Vol. 1 featuring tracks from successful anime series such as GTO, Rave Master, Princess Ai, and others (music by D.J. Milky and b_nCHANt_d); and TOKYOPOP presents Beats 4 Riderz, offering hip-hop music from Street Fury, Initial D, and other series.

The Digital Rights Agency currently distributes more than 300 leading independent record labels in 15 countries with a catalog totaling 380,000 tracks. The music is available both online and at mobile retail kiosks.

"There is a growing interest among fans to access this niche category, and TOKYOPOP is the first company to quench this thirst," says Ben Chan, Music Supervisor at TOKYOPOP. "We plan to release more than 20 albums per year featuring the coolest music from Asia, and we are confident that DRA's excellent technical platform, global reach, and marketing expertise will perfectly support TOKYOPOP Music."

"The launch of TOKYOPOP Music marks the beginning of our move into the world of music," says TOKYOPOP's CEO and CCO Stu Levy. "In the near future, TOKYOPOP will not only produce anime and manga soundtracks but also mangapods (audiobooks), ringtones, manga podcasts, and much more. We are also currently considering a dedicated manga channel via satellite radio. With these plans in mind, DRA seems like the perfect partner for TOKYOPOP to establish the audio business through the internet and mobile retail kiosks."

Accordingly, the Managing Director of DRA, Tuhin Roy, states: "We are very excited about collaborating with TOKYOPOP and look forward to the opportunity to connect millions of manga and anime fans with the music they love."
