"Tonari no Yōkai-san," a TV anime adaptation of Noho's work, is set to air in April 2024. The cast, production team, teaser images, and a teaser promotional video were recently announced.

The series is set in the picturesque town of Enge Mori, where monsters, humans, and gods coexist, and follows a series of heartwarming and mystical everyday occurrences. The cast includes Asaki Yuiwaki as the curious human girl Mutsu Sumimoto (Mu-chan), Ryosuke Higa as the raven tengu Jiro (Enka Yamaji Jirobo), who watches over Mu-chan, and Yuki Kaji as Buchio, a cat who unexpectedly transforms into a nekomata.

Directed by Ai Yamauchi, the anime was produced by Liden Films. The teaser features Buchio, Jiro, and Mu-chan walking through a rice field against a backdrop of cumulonimbus clouds and green mountain peaks. The video conveys a nostalgic and gentle atmosphere and includes the characters' voices, performed by Yuiwaki, Higa, and Kaji.
