The anime adaptation of the manga "Tongari Boushi no Atelier" by Kamome Shirahama is planned for April 2026 as a television series. For this announcement, a first teaser video as well as the cast for the main roles were released.

The protagonist Coco is voiced by Reina Motomura. The role of Quifrey, her magical mentor, is played by Natsuki Hanae.

The released teaser video shows the animation implemented by BUG FILMS, which is reminiscent of the picturesque style of the original. Scenes of Coco's naive fascination with magic as well as moments from her childhood are shown. At the same time, the teaser also hints at the darker aspects of the plot by showing Coco in an emotional, tearful situation.

Specifically for the announcement, individual motifs of the two main characters were also created. These show Coco with her pointed hat and Quifrey with a gentle smile, accompanied by dialogues from the series.

Reina Motomura expressed her impression of the original in a comment and described how reading it awakened memories of her childhood and the feeling of "longing" for dreams. Natsuki Hanae stated that he feels honored to take on the multi-layered and mysterious role of Quifrey. Hiroshi Seko is responsible for the series composition, who compared the manga to a carefully prepared, high-quality dish.

The plot of "Tongari Boushi no Atelier" follows the girl Coco, who discovers the secret of the wizards and subsequently enters their world as a student of Quifrey. The original is published in the Morning Two magazine by the publisher Kodansha.
