"TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You High School Days" expands his universe

The "TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You" franchise is taking a new direction with its latest expansion, "TONIKAKU Kawaii Joshi Kō-hen" or "TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You High School Days." Warner Bros. Japan announced this news with a promotional video introducing the upcoming storyline of the franchise.



The new anime, consisting of four episodes, presents a unique situation for the protagonist Nasa. At the behest of his middle school teacher, he is tasked with advising an all-girls high school class on matters of love. This situation inevitably leads to a series of intrigues and humor as Nasa navigates his new role. Meanwhile, Tsukasa tries to appear cool on the outside, though she is inwardly concerned about Nasa's interactions with the high school girls.

The series is set to premiere on July 12.

An ensemble of voice actors, including Ayane Sakura, Rika Nagae, and Coco Hayashi, will bring the series' characters to life. Saori Hayami will perform the opening song "Plan," while Akari Kitō, who voices Tsukasa Yuzaki in the series, will sing the ending song "Guru Guru Live."

The franchise initially gained momentum with its first TV anime, which premiered in October 2020. The sequel aired in Japan in April 2021. Previous installments, including the original video anime (OVA) "Tonikaku Kawaii SNS" and a new episode titled "Seifuku" (Uniform), released in November 2022, have enriched the storyline and paved the way for the upcoming series.
