For the original anime project "Towa no Yuugure" (engl. Eternal Twilight) by P.A.WORKS, a second trailer and details about the musical accompaniment have been released. The series, whose title can be translated as Eternal Twilight, is described as a serious love story in a futuristic setting.
The story takes place in a future-oriented world where Artificial Intelligence technology has advanced greatly and which is managed by a unified organization called OWEL. The protagonist Akira awakens from cryosleep and meets Yuugre, an android who resembles his former lover Towasa in every detail. Together, they embark on a journey where Akira not only searches for Towasa but also begins to question the nature of love in this new era.
The new trailer provides deeper insights into the central plotlines. Akira harbors doubts about a connection between Yuugre and Towasa when he recognizes a ring he once gave to the latter. However, Yuugre evades his questions about her origin and the connection to Towasa by referring to limitations in her programming. A mysterious message from Towasa with the warning "Never look for me" and the mention of an "AI war" hint at greater secrets and conflicts. The journey of the two leads them to various people who show them different perspectives on love.
The main roles are voiced by:
- Shuichiro Umeda as Akira
- Yui Ishikawa as Yuugre
- Ai Kayano as Towasa
The ending theme of the series has been confirmed as "Two Of Us" by the artist Hana Hope. The singer expressed the hope that the song would particularly appeal to those people who struggle with generally accepted societal values. A part of the song can already be heard in the newly released trailer.
The broadcast of the series is scheduled for October 2025. A zeroth episode will be shown in advance in September.
