Trailer for Studio Ponoc's adaptation of "The Imaginary"

On Monday, Studio Ponoc released a trailer for its upcoming anime adaptation of the novel "The Imaginary" by A.F. Harrold, illustrated by Emily Gravett.



The main characters of the film and their respective voice actors are:

- Kokoro Terada voices the protagonist Rudger.

- Rio Suzuki lends her voice to Amanda.

- Sakura Ando plays the character Lizzie.

- Riisa Naka takes on the role of Emily.

- Takayuki Yamada steps in as Jinzan.

- Atsuko Takahata is the voice behind Downbeat Grandma.

- Issey Ogata finally brings the character Mr. Bunting to life.

Viewers in Japan can look forward to the film's premiere on December 15.

"The Imaginary" revolves around the life of an imaginary friend named Rudger. He belongs to a girl named Amanda Shuffleup. The story takes a turn when Mr. Bunting appears, who has the eerie reputation of hunting and allegedly consuming imaginary friends. The story escalates as Rudger finds himself on the run, not only from Mr. Bunting's clutches but also from time, as the fading of Amanda's memories threatens his very existence.
