Trigun Stampede Episode 4

In the latest episode of "Trigun Stampede," we meet Nicholas D. Wolfwood, a mysterious figure wandering the desert, carrying what looks like a large gravestone but is actually a laser weapon. At the beginning of the episode, Meryl, Roberto, and Vash—who are considered criminals by the military police—are in a car while Vash sleeps soundly. Meryl is worried about Vash's health, as he hasn’t eaten for days, and the only available food source in the area is worms.

The group encounters Nicholas when Meryl almost runs him over with the car. At first, Nicholas appears to be a priest, but it later turns out that he is actually an undertaker. During the episode, "Zazie the Beast" also appears, initially posing as an ordinary child but later attacking the group with a giant worm. Despite the danger, Nicholas believes in fighting for survival, even if it means harming others, while Vash prefers risking his own life to help others.

Wolfwood quickly builds a relationship with Vash, though their differing personalities create tension, and he also forms a comedic dynamic with Meryl and Roberto. However, a twist at the end of the episode reveals that Wolfwood is actually working for Vash’s brother Knives alongside Zazie the Beast, with the intent to corrupt Vash. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, leaving viewers wondering how this dynamic will play out in future episodes.
