The animation series "TRIGUN STARGAZE", based on the original work by Nightow Yasuhiro, was confirmed as the next part of the franchise. A first visual insight and a preliminary video were published.
This new production forms the conclusion of the previously started "TRIGUN STAMPEDE" series. The plot begins about two and a half years after the events of the predecessor and shows the final confrontation between Vash the Stampede, who has taken the vow to kill no living beings, and his brother Millions Knives, who plans the annihilation of humanity. The story unfolds once more on the desert planet No Man's Land.
At the New York Comic Con 2025, the original author Nightow, director Satō Masako, as well as representatives of Studio Orange, Shirasu Yōta and Watanabe Yoshiro, discussed the project.
The published preliminary video grants insights into the changed world after the period of Lost July. New allies such as Meryl Thompson as well as previously unknown antagonists are introduced. The sequence ends with a powerful statement from Knives about the breaking dawn.
The main motif carries the slogan "No longer alone" and shows Vash together with his companions Meryl, Nicholas and Milly on their final journey.
The role of Meryl Thompson is voiced by Ayamori Chinatsu. Further confirmed voice actors include Matsuoka Yoshitsugu as Vash, Andō Sakura as Meryl and Hosoya Yoshimasa as Nicholas. From these artists, statements on the project are also available. Additionally, updated depictions of the characters in their further developed appearance were published.
