Aniplex has announced that the remake of the popular doujin visual novel Tsukihime - A Piece of Blue Glass Moon has sold over 300,000 physical and digital copies.
As is typical for Type-Moon, Kinoko Nasu was responsible for the script and direction of the remake, while Takashi Takeuchi designed the characters.
In addition to the game, there is also a manga adaptation of Tsukihime, written by Shounen Sasaki. The manga, serialized by ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Daioh, ran from December 2003 to September 2010 and comprised a total of ten volumes and 73 chapters. It was praised by Type-Moon for its ability to weave together the various storylines of the original.
