The next isekai anime is getting a sequel. As announced at the end of the finale of the first season of Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-, the series will also receive a second season. This continues the successful trend of the genre, after just yesterday even a planned film for "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" was confirmed.

The announcement also includes a short promo video showing the main characters celebrating with sake, fruit, and seafood:

The anime was the first for NTV's newly established anime department.

Kei Azumi released the novel in 2012 on the website Shōsetsu ni Narō, and AlphaPolis published the 16th printed volume with illustrations by Mitsuaki Matsumoto on June 23. The series has 1.4 million copies in circulation.

NTV describes the anime:

Makoto Misumi is an ordinary high school student living an ordinary life, but he is suddenly summoned to another world to become a "hero." However, the goddess of the other world insults him for being different and strips him of the title "hero" before abandoning him in the wilderness at the edge of the world. On his journey through the wilderness, Makoto encounters dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves, and all sorts of non-human tribes. Since Makoto comes from another world, he is able to unleash unimaginable magical powers and combat abilities. But how will he interact with the various races and survive in his new environment? In this fantasy, Makoto strives to turn the other world into a better place, even though the people and gods have turned their backs on him.
