Kei Azumi's novel series Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Dōchū (Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- or literally: Traveling in an Alternate World Guided by the Moon) is inspiring a TV anime that will premiere next year on Tokyo MX, MBS, BS NTV, and other channels.
To celebrate the announcement, the novel series' illustrator Mitsuaki Matsumoto and manga artist Kotora Kino drew the following illustrations:
The fantasy story centers on Makoto Misumi, an ordinary high school boy who is summoned to another world as a brave warrior. Unfortunately, the goddess of that world scornfully declares, "Your face is ugly," strips him of his title, and banishes him to the farthest reaches of the wilderness.
As he wanders through this wasteland, Makoto encounters dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves, and all sorts of other non-human species. Due to the environmental differences from his home world, Makoto now possesses extraordinary magic and combat abilities. Thus, he survives in this world while navigating various encounters.
