The TV animation adaptation of the manga "Tensei Akujo no Kurorekshi" (German: The dark past of a reborn villainess) by author Akiharu Fuyunatsu starts in October. The manga has been published since 2018 in the magazine LaLa by the publisher Hakusensha.

The story follows office worker Sato Konoha, who is reborn into the world of her own novel after an accident, which she wrote as a middle school student. Instead of awakening in the role of the beloved protagonist Konoha Magnolia, she awakens in the body of her evil sister Iana Magnolia.

Iana is a notorious villainess who is supposed to be murdered early in the original course of the plot. To avert her own death and the suffering of her sister, Iana, equipped with the knowledge of her as the author, must stand up against the adversities she herself devised. She begins a fight against the dark shadows of her own adolescent imagination.

"Tensei Akujo no Kurorekshi" initially started as a short series and was continued as a regular series due to positive response. The manga series has reached over 1.8 million copies sold (including e-books).

The animation production is handled by Studio DEEN under the direction of Hiroaki Sakurai. The character design is by Satoshi Sawada. The responsible series composition is by Hiroshi Mitsu.
