TV anime “Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan” starts in January 2025

The TV anime "Akujaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan," based on the original work by Michirou Ueyama, will begin airing in January 2025. In connection with this, a teaser visual and a teaser trailer have been released.

The teaser visual shows Kenzo Tondenbayashi and the noblewoman Grace Auvergne, into whom he is reincarnated, in mirrored poses. Surrounded by roses and shimmering effects, the visual offers a first glimpse of the anime's style. The teaser trailer begins with a scene in which Kenzo saves a child from a traffic accident but is himself involved in the crash. This is followed by scenes of Kenzo being reborn as Grace and trying to adapt to his new role.

The main cast has also been announced: Kazuhiko Inoue will play Kenzo Tondenbayashi, while M.A.O. will take on the role of Grace Auvergne.

The director is Tetsuya Takeuchi, known for his work on "Tengoku Daimakyou." Shingo Irie, who previously worked on "Shoumetsu Toshi," is responsible for the series composition. The character design is by Haruka Matsunae, and the animation is produced by Studio Asiadou, which also animated "Yubisaki to Renren."

The comedy tells the story of 52-year-old office worker Kenzo Tondenbayashi, who is reincarnated as the antagonist Grace in the otome game "Magical Academy Love & Beast." Although Kenzo tries to behave like a typical villain, his parental advice and simple comments are automatically transformed into elegant expressions through a special ability called "Elegant Cheat," leading to unexpected positive reactions from those around him. The original story was serialized in the magazine "Ours GH" (Shonen Gahosha).
