TV anime adaptation of "Matta Ku Saikin no Tantei to Kitara" announced

The popular manga "Matta Ku Saikin no Tantei to Kitara" by Masakuni Igarashi will be adapted into a TV anime. The main character Keiichiro Nagumo will be voiced by Junichi Suwabe, while the heroine Mashiro will be voiced by Kana Hanazawa.

The story follows Keiichiro Nagumo, who was once a famous high school detective with a brilliant reputation. Today, he is a man plagued by back pain, presbyopia, and other age-related problems, no longer keeping up with the times. His peaceful life is turned upside down when Mashiro, a lively student who wants to become a detective, bursts into his detective agency, determined to become his assistant. The two form an unlikely detective duo.

The manga, published in Dengeki Maoh (KADOKAWA), will release its 15th volume on August 27. The anime adaptation is scheduled to air in 2025. Alongside the announcement, a teaser image and a promotional video featuring the characters' voices were also released.
