The TV anime adaptations of the works Karaoke Iko! and Muchū sa, Kimi ni by manga artist Yama Wayama are planned for 2025. It was also announced that Shun Horie will voice the role of Satoshi Oka and Daisuke Ono will voice the role of Kyoji Narita in Karaoke Iko!.

Karaoke Iko! tells the story of an unusual friendship: The serious and brave Satoshi Oka, leader of the Morioka Middle School choir and a third-year student, suffers from the vocal problems that come with puberty. Despite his quiet demeanor, he is bold enough to give sharp retorts to the 39-year-old Kyoji Narita, deputy leader of the fourth Matsubayashi-gumi. Narita, on the other hand, is determined to improve his singing to master the strict rules of the annual karaoke competition, where his favorite song "Kurenai" is always used.

The voice actors also shared their thoughts on their roles. Horie revealed that he has a fondness for Japanese pop songs from the Shōwa era and recorded his lines with a "heartwarming Osaka flair." Ono encouraged viewers to follow the story of the unlikely duo—a boy and a yakuza—until the very end.
