Two works by Yamayo Yamayama, "Karaoke Iko!" and "Muchuu sa, Kimi ni.," will be officially adapted into TV anime. Along with the announcement, teaser images and a promotional video for both titles were released.
The anime project, teased with a countdown starting on October 12, will be directed by Asami Nakatani, with series composition by Yoshimi Narita, character design by Mai Matsuura, and music by Takuro Iga. The animation will be produced by Doga Kobo, known for works like "Oshi no Ko."
The teaser video features the main characters of both series, with the full cast to be announced at a later date. Author Yamayo Yamayama expressed excitement: "I'm so happy that my works are being adapted into anime! I can't wait to see them as a fan."
"Karaoke Iko!" tells the quirky story of Satoshi Oka, the leader of the Morioka Junior High School choir club, and his unexpected friendship with Kyoji Narita, the deputy leader of a yakuza clan. "Muchuu sa, Kimi ni." follows two high school boys: Miyo Hayashi, a mysterious second-year student, and Akira Nikaido, a popular student experiencing a "reverse high school debut" due to the excessive attention he received in junior high.
