TV anime “Tasūketsu” premieres on July 2nd: new actors and main video released

The TV anime "Tasūketsu," based on the work by Taiga Miyagawa, will premiere on July 2. Alongside this announcement, additional cast members and the main promotional video were revealed.

"Tasūketsu" tells the story of a group of boys and girls who become entangled in a brutal survival game where the majority must die, known as "Tasūketsu." They face off against a mysterious entity called the "Emperor" and fight for their fate. Among the newly announced cast are Kotomi Aihara as Gokoku Houtenji Bourinmaru, a companion of protagonist Minoru Narita; Shiki Aoki as Rika Suzuki, a former delinquent who will do anything to survive; and Kentaro Kumagai as Hayato Soma, a muscular culinary student.

The new video begins with an intense scene where the Emperor announces the start of the Tasūketsu game. It showcases Minoru, the heroine Saya Fujishiro, and other unique characters battling their way through the game. The video features scenes where the decisive abilities "Privilege" and "Right" come into play and highlights the clashes between Minoru's group and their terrifying opponent Mitsu Midou, all set to the opening theme "Emperor Time" by Vivrash.

"Tasūketsu" is produced by Studio Satelight, with Ryuichi Sato as director and series composer, Nami Hayashi as character designer, and R.O.N. as music producer. The cast includes Yuto Uemura as Minoru Narita, Anna Nagase as Saya Fujishiro, and Kenjiro Tsuda as Mitsu Midou.
