TV anime "Chi: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite" will premiere on NHK in October

The TV anime "Chi: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite," based on the manga by Uoto, will begin airing on NHK General in October. The show will air every Saturday at 23:45. Along with this announcement, a teaser image and teaser video have been released.

"Chi: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite" tells the story of people who risk their lives and beliefs to prove the heliocentric model of the universe. The manga was serialized in Big Comic Spirits (Shogakukan) and won, among other awards, the top prize at the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize. The anime adaptation was announced in June 2022 and is being produced by Madhouse.

The teaser video features Rafau observing Earth from space. It begins with Rafau's monologue, "This world is full of fools." The story is set in a time when the geocentric model was accepted as truth, and research challenging this theory was considered a serious crime. The mysterious scholar Hubert ignites Rafau's intense intellectual curiosity. Additionally, ten scene stills have been released.

The main cast has also been announced: Maaya Sakamoto will voice Rafau, Kenjirou Tsuda will play Novak, and Jouji Nakata will voice Hubert.
