The TV anime adaptation of Spica Aoki's manga "Kaiju Girl Caramelise" (original title: "Otome Kaijū Carameliser") will premiere in July 2026. As announced over the weekend, it will air on channels including TBS and BS11. To coincide with this, the first main visual and the first main promotional video have been released.

The story revolves around high school student Kuroe Akaishi, who suffers from a mysterious illness where parts of her body transform into those of a monster when she gets emotionally excited. Kuroe believes no one will accept her like this, but then she unexpectedly gets close to the most popular boy at school, Arata Minami. Her feelings for him worsen her symptoms, and she eventually transforms into a giant monster named Harugon.

The main visual shows Kuroe together with the colossal Harugon, whose roar is directed towards the sky. The first main PV introduces the main characters and showcases impressive scenes of the monster, realized with a mix of CG and traditional animation.

Parallel to the series launch, the "Sweet Caramelise! Kuroe Kawaii Project" has been initiated. This initiative aims to present the charm of the main character in various forms. Kicking it off is the popular cosplayer COCO, who meticulously recreates Kuroe's cuteness.
