After months of delays, it is now official: The highly anticipated TV anime "鬼人幻燈抄" (Kijin Gentoushou) will begin airing on March 31, 2024. Originally planned for June 2023, the series was postponed due to production delays. Now, not only are the exact air times confirmed, but the first trailer and ending theme have also been released.

The Japanese-styled fantasy is being produced as a two-cour anime, meaning it will likely run until September 2024.

The newly released Promo Video #1 offers glimpses into the series' mystical world and showcases the main characters in action-packed and dramatic scenes. A special highlight: The ending song "千夜一夜 feat. 仲宗根泉 (HY)" is an exclusive collaboration between the hip-hop band Hilcrhyme and Izumi Nakasone, vocalist of the Okinawan band HY. The track blends melancholic melodies with traditional Japanese sounds, enhancing the epic atmosphere of the series.

"Kijin Gentoushou" tells the story of the "Oni" (demon) Jinta, who lives as the protector of the priestess Itsukihime in a remote mountain village. When he encounters a mysterious demon speaking of a distant future, a journey through 170 years of time and destiny begins.
