The story revolves around the S-rank mage Luck, who once saved his companions from annihilation with the words 'Leave it to me and go ahead!' and fought alone against the Demon King for ten years. After his victory, he returns to a world where he is revered as a legendary hero – but rejuvenated by the battle, he disguises himself as an F-rank adventurer named Rock. The anime is produced by Studio Gekkou, directed by Hiroyuki Kanbe, with series composition by Mitsutaka Hirota and character design by Majiro.

For the newly introduced vampires who stand in Rock's way, five renowned voice actors have been enlisted: Nobuhiko Okamoto, Shinya Takahashi, Kosuke Toriumi, Satoshi Hino, and Takehito Koyasu. Which vampires they will play will be revealed at a later date. The fresh key visual shows Rock surrounded by his allies.

The original novel by Ezogingitsune (illustrations: DeeCHA) started as a web novel on 'Shosetsuka ni Narou' in 2018 and has been published as a light novel by SB Creative since 2019. The series, including the manga adaptation (drawn by Chaco Abeno, storyboard: Kitsune Tennoji), has sold over 4.45 million copies. The anime originally premiered in April 2026 but was postponed to July. The ending song is titled 'Arigatari na Nichijō to Kōun na Hibi e' ('To the Everyday and Happy Days').
