The production of the TV anime "Osananajimi to wa Love Come ni Naranai" has released a fifth teaser visual featuring the character Tsukimi Runa.
Tsukimi Runa, affectionately called "Runako," is one of the four main heroines. She embodies the "little sister type" (Imouto-kei) and possesses a mix of angelic innocence and a hint of devilish playfulness. Although she is the youngest among the childhood friends, she is nevertheless the most determined in approaching the protagonist Yū.
The voice of Tsukimi Runa is provided by Hiratsuka Sae. For Hiratsuka, this role is her first engagement in the romantic comedy genre. In a comment, she expressed her excitement and anticipation: "'Osalove' (abbreviation for the original title) is my very first romantic comedy, and I am very excited and full of anticipation." She described Runako as a girl with multifaceted charm, who, while being the youngest among the childhood friends, also has a slightly devilish and mysteriously mature side. Hiratsuka promised to do her utmost to convey this cuteness to the viewers.
The plot of "Osananajimi to wa Love Come ni Naranai" revolves around the high school student Sakaī Yonosuke, called Yū, and the childhood-like, but increasingly complicated relationships with his several female childhood friends. The story is characterized by the fact that classic elements of a romantic comedy are hinted at, but repeatedly come to a humorous or frustrating halt due to misunderstandings, the characters' reserve, and their efforts not to endanger their relationships with each other. The anime is based on the manga of the same name by Misure Shin'ya, which is serialized in the "Magazine Pocket" magazine by the Kōdansha publishing house. So far, 17 volumes have been released. The animation production is handled by Tezuka Productions.
The broadcast is planned for the year 2026.
