TV Anime "Shirotan" Releases Main PV: New Voice Actresses Announced

The TV anime "Shirotan" has released a new main PV, offering deeper insights into the fluffy and heartwarming world of the seal character. The video features the voices of three additional characters for the first time, who have been added to the cast.

Alongside the already known main character Shirotan, voiced by Aoi Yūki, three new voice actresses appear: Miyu Hanasaki lends her voice to the shy and caring Rakkoinu, Rina Hidaka voices the lively shell Sheru, and Rise Iwai portrays the dreamy penguin Ramune. All three have released written comments expressing their joy about their roles and the positive vibe of the series.

The anime is the first project of the newly created short anime label PicoAni by broadcaster TV Asahi. It is scheduled to air from October 2026, every Saturday at 16:29. The series is based on the seal character Shirotan, created by Creative Yoko in 1999, known for its soft, white fur and uplifting nature.

The production is handled by Studio Lesprit; the direction is by Arisa Okada, and the screenplay is by Iku Yoshizuki. Planning and production are by TV Asahi and Shin-Ei Animation. The new main PV shows the four friends Shirotan, Rakkoinu, Sheru, and Ramune in their everyday adventures, conveying the warm-hearted atmosphere of the series.
