The anime "Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy" is drawing ever closer, and we can already take a look at the exciting cast. The official Twitter account for the upcoming TV series, which is based on the novels by Yū Shimizu and Asagi Tōsaka, announced the names of the main voice actors on Saturday.

The newly revealed cast includes Honoka Kuroki as Sakuya, Aya Suzaki as Regina, Marina Inoue as Leonis, Yui Ishikawa as Riselia, Arisa Nakada as Shary, and Hiromi Igarashi as Elfiné. The anime Seiken Gakuin no Maken Tsukai will be showcased at this year's AnimeJapan event, with the Twitter account promising new information during the event.

Yen Press is the publisher of the English-language light novels, which tell the story of the dark lord Leonis, who awakens from a thousand-year magical stasis in the body of a 10-year-old boy. He teams up with Riselia, a girl fighting against the Voids—creatures that nearly wiped out humanity. Leonis enrolls at the Excalibur Academy, a school that trains students to battle these mysterious monsters. Could the Voids have something to do with Leonis' past?

Kadokawa released the first volume of Shimizu's novel series with Tōsaka's illustrations in May 2019, and the novels are still ongoing. Asuka Keigen also launched a manga adaptation of the novels in Kadokawa's Shōnen Ace magazine in November 2019, and the series remains unfinished. Shimizu also wrote the Bladedance of Elementalers light novel series in 2010, which concluded with its 20th volume in March 2019. The light novel series was adapted into a TV anime in 2014.
