In the September issue of Kodansha's magazine Good! Afternoon, it was announced on the cover that TSNK's manga Uchi no shishou wa shippo ga nai (My Master Has No Tail) will receive an anime adaptation. The magazine is expected to be released in Japan this coming Thursday, August 5.

The plot is described as follows: The fantasy story is set in Japan's Taishō era (1912-1926). It follows Mameda, a shape-shifting tanuki girl who dreams of becoming human. Mameda transforms into a pretty, raven-haired human girl and sets off for the bustling city of Osaka. However, people see through Mameda immediately, and a beautiful woman coldly tells the dejected Mameda, "Go back to where you came from." It turns out this woman, named Bunko, is herself a supernatural being who has transformed into a rakugo (storyteller). Mameda begs Bunko to become her master and teach her how to act human.
